General Considerations

  • Assessing your horses natural ability

Preparing For Training - â€‹

  • Ensure a vet check is completed to ensure your horse is sound and healthy.

  • Ensure up to date hoof and shoe care is in place.

  • Professional saddle fitting has taken place.

Progressive Fitness - ​

  • Each horse is unique and will need to be managed as such.

  • Little and often positive training, progressing training levels as and when your horse is ready and fit to do so. 

Ground Work - ​

  • Establish boundaries

  • Intensive relationship building

  • Handling and trailer loading if required.

Lunging - ​

  • Beneficial for teaching balance, suppleness and responsiveness

Long Reining​

  • Develop balance

  • encourage confidence and obedience

Ridden Training​

  • For backing young horses

  • Re-training to develop good rider/horse relationship
